According to saharareporters, they say Students of the Lagos State University External System today staged a march to the Lagos State House of Assembly, Alausa Ikeja, to state their grievances on prevailing issues affecting the external system, despite the huge fees they've been subjected to pay.
They decried the academic "torture" they allege they are subjected to which includes missing scripts in examinations, lack of an academic calendar, dilapidated academic structures, lack of standard and effective lectures, no convocation after graduation, and absence of admission letters.

The management should conduct exams every 3 months, because since 2012 LASUES has conducted only 3 examinations.
They also demanded that they be properly taught by lecturers from their main campuses and not by "road-side lecturers", and further that the lecture environment be made conducive for studying.
Management stop collecting ID card fees from them, as they have not been issued any valid ID cards.
Students also demanded the immediate issuance of letters of admission to students who have not been issued ID cards since 2009, to prove enrollment.
