Mind you he hasn't performed poorly, any striker would be fairly comfortable with his tally of 16 goals in 33 appearances this season (depending on the club the striker plays for sha).
But for a guy who is being touted for a possible big money move in the summer and whose name was being juggled between Messi and Ronaldo last season as one of the best footballers in the world, he's performances this season is simply a very concerning fall from grace.
With Atletico Madrid also having a sort of an off season as they have only managed to win 13 out of 23 league matches this season, and sitting fourth on the la liga table 7 points adrift of the neighbours and rivals Real Madrid, who have two games in hand. It seems his form may not entirely be his fault but rather the aura of uncertainty currently clouding the club based on their Simone situation.
Leicester's Jamie Vardy is also having a bad season compared to his last one and with his form showing no signs of improvement, I just hope Antoine Griezmann does the opposite and recovers form and start banging in 'em goals soon.

As shown above the his stats of last season is only a tad bit than this season, so it's probably just a run of inconsistent form or maybe he's overrated.
