A very happy Sunday to you. I hope your day is coming good?
If this is your first time on ‘Thinking Out Loud with Ebi”, you can check the previous post HERE so as to be on the same page with the rest of us.
I remember quoting this verse of scripture “I will INSTRUCT you (says the lord) and GUIDE you along the best pathway for your life; I will ADVISE you and WATCH your progress.”- Psalm32:8 TLB
This week, we will be considering ARCHERY so if you know nothing about it, this might be an occasion to gain some tangible knowledge on the matter.
Archery is the practice of using a bow to propel arrows. A person who is involved in archery can be called an archer or a BOWMAN. The bowman shoots at a target in training and he usually has a carrier that would run after the arrow to pick it up. (Very tangible knowledge I believe)
The bowman hits a target and it shows the person with him where exactly to go. It can be used to show direction to members of an army in a time of war.
Meanwhile, the word instruct in our text is the Hebrew word ‘yarah’ which means to throw or lay especially in terms of an arrow. It means that God can be the Bowman who shoots at a mark in order to lead us, He is steadily trying to instruct you and me.
I would say to you to FOLLOW THE ARROW I believe God is leading you along the right path, He’s aiming at a target and He’s calling out to you to follow the arrow.
I’m persuaded that if you follow the arrow, you will experience PROGRESS
Someone might be asking the question, ‘how do I follow the arrow’? We will talk about that in the next post do watch this space
