Baseline Music act, Skales (Raoul John Njeng-Njeng) and former label mate and current boss of Starboy Records, Wizkid (Ayodeji Balogun) were involved in a twitter spat on Monday, which generated into the use of unprintable words and curses but only a few knew how the war started.
See more after the cut..
Surprisingly, the former boss of the duo and CEO of Empire Mates Entertainment, Banky W (Olubankole Wellington), who according to his last post on twitter is in London, is yet to add a word or caution on the fight.
Vanguard learnt that Skales, who is promoting his yet to be released debut album titled, ‘Man of the year’, asked his followers on micro-blogging site-Twitter to name the artiste(s) they will love him to feature on the album. Many artistes were suggested including Innocent Idibia (2face), Patoranking, Davido, Psquare, Pasuma and Wizkid among others. Skales retweeted the responses of his followers but added that Wizkid does not have his time.
Wizkid response to Skales’s allegation was mild at the initial stage, saying “dude!! Lol my home is ur home anytime g! U know I’m here whenever u’re ready! Blood still!”
Skales, obviously unconvinced, added;
“no bad blood bro we family but show support to ur own for real it’s not by tweeting or bare words….”
In the heat of the disagreement, Skales alleged Wizkid stole his beat and made popular dance song Azonto off it.
The producer of the beat, @Legendurybeatz faulted the claim, saying that Wizkid paid for it.
“The Azonto beat was fully paid for by @Wizkidayo I don’t know what @Youngskales is talking about..I created that beat!!!!”
Skales also claimed to have written Superstar, another song by Wizkid.
The spat went overboard with accusations, counter-accusations and curses from both ends.
