ABUAD EXCLUSIVE!! WHAT iS THE YOUNG PHILANTHROPIST CLUB?



We are a group of students in Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti. We are driven by the passion to bring about a drastic change in our country. We have so, resolved to put our efforts in humanitarian services. We are unique in that we do not just aim to develop initiatives among young one’s or by providing for the less privilege and the sick. We are unique in that we combine all forms of humanitarian services.

Our achievements so far

We have visited Anglican Diocese high school in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti, to give academic and non-academic awards to qualified students.

We have visited orphanage homes among which include Erelu Orphanage home in Iyin Ekiti (another city in Ekiti state, Nigeria). We made available, provisions and clothes for them.

We have been conducting motivational talks to students both within and outside Afe Babalola University.

We have visited the Ekiti-State teaching hospital to provide for the sick and also give financial assistance to parents of new born babies.

We have visited the deaf and dumb school at Ikole Ekiti, interacted, danced with them and we also made provisions of clothes and financial support available to them.

We have been doing a mobile talk to students in Afe Babalola University on how to achieve academic excellence and on the adverse effect of Hard-Drugs in their lives.



We have made financial support to one of the non-teaching staff in ABUAD who was in financial need

We have visited secondary schools in Akure and Ibadan  respectively for a career talk.

We have giving financial awards to students of the college of law of this great institution, (ABUAD)



Our next objectives

We have decided to continue giving awards to deserving students in (ABUAD)

We have started our plans towards providing scholarship for tertiary institutions in thirty states in Nigeria before May, 2015.









AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF  YPC



ü Promoting innovations among young adults.

ü To fund children education in Nigeria.



ü Achieving and ensuring character, moral training and sound attitude  towards development.



ü Helping children relate to/with others in an atmosphere of mutual understanding by creating an egalitarian (equal) society.



ü Awarding scholarship to deserving students both in the secondary and tertiary institutions.



ü Facilitating National conciousness in the area of National Unity and Survival.



ü Contributing to the development of the young but less priviledge ones in the society.



ü Providing for the sick, the old, the poor and care for the ophans..



ü Supporting students Financially and in whatever way their needs can be met.



ü To create job oppotunities

Philanthropy is the act of voluntary promotion of human welfare, and this is what the YPC is aimed to achieve. The YPC is a group of intellectuals in Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, who have the passion and drive for humanitarian service and are determined to make a paradigm shift in Nigeria and the world.

On one of the evenings that we snuck out to hang out, I kept thinking of Tobi, I couldn’t get him out of my head. It was so funny that we haven’t spoken since I got back with Kola, I felt like he hated me and I couldn’t blame him after all I hated myself too.
