The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, has approved the upgrading of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ido-Ekiti, to a Federal Teaching Hospital and the use of the upgraded hospital for the clinical training of Medical students and allied health professionals of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti.

The Abuad student went into conversation with a nursing student on the situation on the proposed campus for the medical students in ido-ekiti..the student who pleaded anonymity stated thus "As we were returning from ido-ekiti after our regular lecture, we met with Afe babalola on the way, Afe sought to enlighten us with a very endaring news, he said that the Memorandum of understanding, which is to officially convert the federal medical centre to private property, has been signed by the president, and the remaining stuff is to complete the documentation of some other papers..we were surprised and happy, and we went to our hostels freely"...there you have it..the medical courses..will be accredited in due time..The abuad student report.

The abuad student has received numerous complaints about skye bank, claiming it is singlehandedly the worst bank in school..Whilst its counterparts, "Wema bank" and "Fidelity bank" have moved to larger buildings which support full term banking, skye bank persisted and stayed in a small office located the college of medicine, the bank has frustrated its users by not dispensing money till almost three weeks after, leaving the users without ATM cards to their fate..

AMSA presidential hopes of the aspirant Jamike has been dashed by the provost of the college.

The AMSA referendum took place on the 14th of october,2014. The purpose of the referendum was to adjust some errors in the ready-made constitution but things changed quickly after the provost made an declaration ending the title race for the aspirants from 300L..which is the second highest class so far..in the Abuad medical school..

The course representative of the highly appraised Medicine and surgery department and also the College representative Named "Ekennia-ebeh Jamike" made a surprise move, deciding to announce his retirement as the course representative in the interest of focusing on his campaign for the post of the Amsa president..he has delegated his duties officially to the new course representative,Okeke Charles.
